A Celebration of Life is an opportunity to honour a person’s life and the contributions that they have made to family and friends through the memories they have created. It also commemorates their passage into another realm.

Dorothea Schaab meets with families to create a Celebration of Life that uniquely honours a loved one. Services may include a Celebration of Life service at a favorite location of the family’s choice or a more traditional location such as a funeral chapel and/or cemetery.

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal;
Love leaves a memory no one can steal.

The time following a death may be overwhelming to a grieving family with many details needing attention. I will work closely with the funeral director to coordinate a beautiful Celebration of Life that is reflective of family values and beliefs.

To reflect on the lifestyle of the deceased, a Ceremony may be held at a family’s favourite location or in a more traditional setting like a funeral home or cemetery.

I believe that every life lived is a story to celebrate!

A death is not the extinguishing of a light, but the putting out of a lamp because the dawn has come.

Feedback & Reviews

My family and I were so fortunate to have Dorothea at our side when my Mom passed away. Her compassion, sensitivity and incredible efficiency made an extremely difficult time, run smoothly. Her total understanding was always quietly in the background, foreseeing what would be needed next. There was never any pressure. Our family, from youngsters to teenagers to seniors, felt the caring hand of Dorothea, as we said goodbye to Grandma. I couldn’t have asked for anything more.
